By using ScanSlate, you agree to these terms and the rules of the store through which you obtained the app.
The service
ScanSlate provides document capture, image processing, text recognition, organization, PDF creation, and optional account backup. OCR, automatic cropping, and document suggestions can contain errors. You are responsible for checking every document before relying on or sharing it.
Free use and subscription
The free tier allows up to three PDF exports with ScanSlate branding. After the free allowance, an active monthly subscription is required for additional exports. The displayed price is provided by Apple App Store or Google Play and may vary by country and tax treatment. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your store account before renewal. The store controls billing, cancellation, refunds, and purchase restoration.
Your documents
You retain responsibility for documents you capture or import. You must have the right to process and share them. Do not use ScanSlate for unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful activity. Keep independent copies of important documents; device loss, app removal, storage failure, or disabled backup can result in data loss.
Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for your account credentials and device access. We may limit abusive access that threatens the service or other users. Account deletion is available in the app and is described on the Account Deletion page.
Availability and liability
The app is provided on an as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. ScanSlate is not a legal, medical, accounting, or archival certification service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Changes
Features and these terms may change. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
